Met Chase's favorite band Yellowcard

Tuesday March 11, 2008

How ironic is it that Yellowcard was here on the 11th, which is our family number and then Matt pointed out that he would have been 3 the year he passed (3/11 was the concert).  It was the most amazing concert we have ever been to and the band is awesome.  They took pictures with us and signed autographs and talked with us and then they dedicated Chase's favorite song View from Heaven to us.  It is a night that we will never forget and the weather was perfect so thank you Chase.

Footprints in Time

November 5, 2007

We went to the Children Memorial on your birthday, Hunter and I went out to lunch and then to the memorial to send you some ballons but they got stuck in the tree by the memorial.  Then Mom sent you some ballons down by the river and hopefully you got them.  Here is your other brick.

Here is your brick from Footprints in Time that Hunter or Mom try to make sure is cleaned off once a week if it needs to be dusted off or if there is snow.

Footprints in Time Children Memorial Dedication
Saturday September 29, 2007

The Footprints in Time has finally be finished.  It is such a beautiful place.  It is a place we can go to that we can be happy when we think of Chase.  It is a wonderful memorial for all the Children that have passed too soon in South Elgin.

Saturday August 18, 2007 5:45 p.m Chase became a big brother

Chase's sister Madeline was born today.  Chase's big brother Hunter was in the delivery room but Mom knows that Chase was in there too helping her through the delivery.  Thank you for helping me.

Thursday July 27, 2006

Chase passed away at the tender age of 2 1/2 on Thursday July 27, 2006.  He tragically drowned in a nearby river and became an angel at 4:10 p.m.  Although we will never know the exact time, just the time the hospital pronounced him an angel, mom believes it was 1:57 p.m. that he became an angel.  Mom believes that Chase was playing tag with mom and looked to see if mom was coming while he was still running and tripped and fell as he had a big bump on his beautiful head.

Here's the last picture we took of our angel, a few days before he left us.

Chase's Last Annual Indiana Trip
The last week of June is always the annual Indiana trip where Grandma Shell courageously takes all the grandkids neices and nephews to Indiana.  They had to be potty trained before they could go but Grandma always made the exception for Chase.  He had so much fun playing there with all of his cousins laughing and playing in the water.  Who would have thought that was the last time that he would have ever gone to Indiana.

Mom and Dad went to Cedar Point while they were in Indiana.  We stopped at the cottaqe on the way home thinking the boys would run right to us.  No not Chase he was having fun away from mom and dad and he thought we were going to take him home.  He was fine once he knew he had a few more days at the cottage.

Chase's 1st Airplane Trip and vacation to Walt Disney World
On September 10, 2005 our family went to Walt Disney World.  It was such a wonderful trip and the boys loved Walt Disney.  Chase loved Magic Kingdom meeting Mickey and all his friends and going on his favorite ride the Buzz Lightyear Ride.  We stayed at The Animal Kingdom Lodge and Chase loved looking at all the animals from our hotel room.  It was a very magical time for our family and we will never forget it.

Chase's 1st Annual Indiana Trip
June 2005.  Chase was finally able to go with his brother, all the cousins and his grandmother and great-grandma to the cottage.  He was so excited that he got to go and loved that cottage.  He loved the cozy little house and the beach was the best.  He loved the water and wasn't afraid of anything.

Chase's 1st Trip to Wisconsin Dells
Chase's first family trip to Wisconsin Dells was in September 2004.  He loved the waterpark and crawling in the ball park.  We loved taking the boys to Wisconsin Dells because they loved it.

June, 2004 Chase's 1st trip to the Zoo

Chase's first trip with the family to Brookfield Zoo was in June 2004.  He loved seeing all the animals.  His eyes lit up when we got to see all the different sights.  Chase always loved going to the zoo with the family.

November 5, 2003
Chase was born almost two weeks early to Matt and Jackie on November 5, 2003.  He was born at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.  Mom noticed labor started right after dad went to work and called him about an hour later to come home.  Mom and Dad had to go into the Doctor's office first for a checkup and was rushed up to the hospital right away  Good thing the Dr.'s office was downstairs at the hospital so we just had to go up a few floors  Dr Estes was due to deliver Chase but he came too quickly, just like he left this world, so Linda Meillan, Midwife delivered Chase one hour after arriving at the hospital at 12:10 p.m.  Chase weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz.  and 21 1/2 inches long.  He was a very healthy baby boy.  It snowed the day Chase was born, it was so beautiful.  There were no complications and we left the hospital 2 days later.
